The Youngstown State Penguin Club wishes to thank all the participants who took part in the annual Bill Dailey/Penguin Club Scholarship Golf outing which was held on Wednesday at Youngstown Country Club. The event was presented by Hively Construction, Johnson Controls, Compco Industries and A.P. O'Horo Construction.
The tremendous turnout and support of our fans during this uncertain time felt amazing for everyone involved. YSU coaches and staff were able to reconnect with many familiar faces in a socially-distant outdoor environment.
For the first time, the outing was held in late July as opposed to its early-June date. Every participant was very appreciative that the Penguin Club, YCC and Youngstown State staff and coaches were able to still host this year's event.
The weather for the event was sunny with temperatures reaching the mid-80s. The winning foursome of Nate Snodgrass, Richard Kotch, Pat Forese and Roger Snodgrass shot an impressive 12-under par 59 on the par 71 course. Highlighting their round was a near hole-in-one at the par-3 12th by Forese. His shot came within eight inches of being an ace.
