In the spring of 2014, the Youngstown State softball team moved back to campus and play all of its home contests at the YSU Softball Field, now the Covelli Sports Complex.
The field is located just south of Farmers National Bank Field and behind the McDonald's located on Fifth Avenue across the street from Stambaugh Stadium.
The artificial-turfed outfield venue features first-class lighting, dugouts, seating for 500 fans, a new sound system, centerfield bleachers, a scoreboard, press box, which includes a private TV booth and hard-wired internet, batting cages and bullpens. Each YSU Horizon League contest is live-streamed on ESPN3.
The field is between two major university parking lots (M-70 and M-72). Fans are reminded during the week and on gamedays to park with caution.
The main entrance to the facility is located off of Ford Avenue which is West of the complex. A concession stand and restroom facilities are located behind the press box area.
Suggested parking is in either the M-72 lot west of the complex or the M-70 lot across Fifth Avenue from the Youngstown State campus just south of the McDonald's. Gates open one hour before scheduled contests. Please note that during weeknight games, YSU classes are in session and parking is extremely limited. More parking is available during the weekend. Other options are the M-60 deck located just south of the Beeghly Center and Andrews Wellness and Recreation Center. Parking is $5. Please park at your own risk.
